Upgraded our Magegate.com pages to each teach one part of reusable encounter design. Together, these free resources form the MageGate Encounter Design System—a practical framework for designing more memorable 5e campaigns with less preparation. Though the terms and mechanics are for 5e/5.5e, the majoroity of the content is broadly applicable to any fantasy TTRPG system (OSR, Shadowdark Pathfinder, etc.). Effective immediately, we’ve updated the Kindle prices for all core MageGate Games books from $9.99 USD (or local equivalent) to $12.99 USD (or local equivalent). Why the change? As the MageGate catalog has grown and the books have expanded in depth, we’ve adjusted pricing to better reflect their value while keeping our direct store and PDF editions competitively priced. New Kindle pricing: $12.99 USD$12.99 CAD$15.99 AUD£9.99 GBP€10.99 EUR International pricing may vary slightly by marketplace. No changes have been made to ebook or PDF prices in the MageGate Store, DriveThruRPG, or Itch.io, and physical book prices remain unchanged. Exception: The individual Extreme Encounters: Weather & Terrain micro-releases remain $4.99. The two omnibus editions have been updated.

Restored EU service after implementing right of withdrawal waiver for Directive (EU) 2023/2673 to checkout. Added additional explanations regarding this implementation to FAQ and Refund Policy pages.

Status: Released. We launched and completed our first Kickstarter campaign. Result: Fully funded. Backers received all their rewards on time.

Status: Released We replaced the cover and all of the interior art, altered the layout, and revised the content to bring the guide in line with the 2024 (5.5e) rules.

Series Evolution: From this book forward, we begin offering Quick Lair Ideas and Running [x] Terrain sidebars for all lairs in addition to miscellaneous other support sidebars as needed (such as "Neutralizing Acid in Acid Lairs").
